Amy Hile - Director of Marketing and Design
Amy attended the coveted Ringling School of Interior Design in Sarasota , Florida and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in 1990. After working for different designers in Sarasota , in 1993 Amy moved with Jason to Charlotte , in search of a more thriving economy.
Almost immediately, Amy started her own business, Cross Hile Interior Design, a combination of Jason's last name, and Amy's middle name. Business was very good. So good in fact, that Jason began building high-end custom furniture for her clients. The demand was high, and the Atlanta and High Point markets couldn't fit the bill, so it was an easy segue into the industry. Amy and Jason made quite a pair.
Soon, the furniture-making turned into custom interior trim, and the pair changed the name of the company to C.H. & Company, LLC, thus dropping the "Interior Design". Amy and Jason were called "The One-Two punch". Subsequently the pair were awarded for their efforts, taking home five awards in one year, including the critical "Best of Show".
In 1998, the duo made the move to the coast in search of a better lfestyle, more laid-back. Jason took up surfing with a vengeance, they started a family, and changed the company name to Viking Contractors Inc. (C.H. & Co. LLC had too many letters).
Today the family of four, Jason, Amy, Jackson and Daisy enjoy a wonderful life in the community of I'On in Mount Pleasant , where Viking builds beautiful homes, and where they have firmly planted their roots.
Recently, Viking has been nominated "Best Interior Trim" in the community of I'On. |
